Bouygues Energies & Services operates in over 81 countries worldwide and is part of the Bouygues Group, employing more than 124,600 people across construction, telecommunications, and media sectors. Bouygues ES was tasked with the design and build of a new manufacturing plant in Livingston, Scotland, to EU GMP Grade A to D cleanroom standards.

Challenge:

Bouygues needed a flexible partner with the resources and expertise to perform builders’ cleaning and maintenance services during the construction of 4,740 square meters of interior space. Given the ongoing nature of the project, this partner had to be ready to adapt to unexpected schedule changes and other adjustments.

Solution:

ABM provided the required staffing solution, which included:
- Performing initial builders clean to remove dust and debris, including vacuuming and diluted isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipe down of the room elevations.
- Cleaning 2,500 m² of cleanrooms on the ground floor, including laboratories.
- Cleaning 2,250 m² of walk-on ceiling on the first floor, servicing the area with the cleanrooms below.
- Undertaking maintenance clean to all rooms and areas, ensuring their cleanliness before the application of silicon.

Benefits:

ABM managed a highly efficient mobilisation process, becoming operational onsite within one week of the contract's start.
